  Food was nice but kitchen staff took 45 minutes to bring out mains. Service was ok. Overall a little pricey. Wouldn't go back though.

  40$ for dry chaicken, soggy skin, came outnin 4 minutes, not fresh. Was not satisfied, asked for a partial discount. They told me too bad. Not worth the money!!

  Love Bistro Guillaume, it's a little piece of France in down town Melbourne. We keep coming back and it gets better every time. The service is impeccable and the food never disappoints.

  Lack of service. First time I went, server was quite pleasant, although occupied with a bigger group, I was a bit left behind. I had to flag someone down for cutlery after my main course was dropped off - which was delicious. Second visit, host remembered my face which was very nice. Server offered to clear my entree halfway through eating it (??). She never came by for the rest of the night. Main was dropped off without cutlery. Again. Some time went by, the gentleman at the front door came to top my wine up (carafe) so I took the opportunity to ask for cutlery. He was very apologetic. Finished my wine after dinner, would have liked to order more but no one noticed my glass was empty. Would have liked to order desert, but no one came by after I got my cutlery. I'm tired of bad service because I'm a solo diner. Why would I bring a group in if one person can't get good service? The (high) price is worth paying (plus tip) if the quality of food matches quality of service. The host apologized again on my way out for my missing cutlery. He was the nicest part of my experience.

  We had a terrific evening at Bistro Guillaume. Food was superb, we had three courses, accompanied by a whole bottle of Perrier-Jouet champagne between us. Service was very attentive by the French-speaking waiter and made us feel like we'd stepped into France. To top it all off, they gave us a complimentary oversize salted caramel macaron to finish the meal to celebrate my birthday, as well as two more to take home! Simply above and beyond!
